Route 66 is an American icon. This album is dedicated to preserving in pictures the "Mother Road" as it appears today.

The 2006 Annual Fun Run sponsored by the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona was a success. The Fun Run, held May 5th - 7th, began in Seligman and ends 140 miles later in Topock/Golden Shores. Participants are encouraged to stop and see the sights along the way.

The weather during the 2006 Fun Run was perfect to put the top down. This car is parked across from the Deluxe Inn Motel, which has provided hospitality for decades.

The historic Seligman Sundries building opened in 1904 and throughout the years has played host to a theater, dance hall as well as a general store/soda fountain.

Arizona can boast of having the longest continuous portion of Route 66 still in existence. There are more than 200 miles of the original Route 66 still around.

The Seligman Route 66 Classic Car Show sponsored by the Seligman Chamber of Commerce. Participants had the opportunity to compete in 5 judged categories - Best of Show, Grooviest Paint Job, Coolest Interior, Hottest Wheels and Chamber's Choice.
